By the end of 2010, the city’s total road length had reached 615 kilometers and the total road surface 231 square meters. The average road surface per person was 30.31 square meters.

    Presently, the number of roads, streets and lanes in downtown Changshu (inside the third ring) is 270. In addition, there are 52 roads in Yanjiang Development Zone, 27 in Yushan Hi-tech Industrial Park, 40 in Dongnan Development Zone, and 24 in China Garments Town. 

    Representative scenic road networks include Fangta Street, Haiyunan Road, Haiyubei Road, and Xinshiji Avenue.
