Liangshan (literally, highlighting Yushan Mount) Project is an unprecedented effort by Changshu Municipal Government to inherit cultural tradition, enhance city image, and improve people’s living environment and life quality. It fully embodies scientific administration concept by assigning priority on environment protection and valuing people’s interests most. As a result, the Project has not only protected and improved the environment of the city, but also fully highlighted the beauty of the city. Moreover, this Project has created a better condition for sustainable urban development and proved its endeavor to protect the ancient city a great success. A scenic belt of “ten-mile green mount” has been successfully restored and introduced into the city.
