Yushan Forest Park

The park lies at the foot of the northern slope of Yushan Mount. Cherishing a history of 70 years, it is a beautiful collection of masterly pavilions, platform houses, bridges, porches, ponds, springs, rocks, and winding paths. Besides brilliant architectures, tourists can also have a wonderful mountain view here. The park is a marvelous synthesis of exquisite woods and awesome mount scenery.

The location of the park used to be the site of semi dwelling and the propylaea to an illustrious family called the Chens. Construction of the park began in 1931 it was christened ChangshuPark when finished. At that time, the XiaoyaoyouPark where Yan Ne, a great scholar of the Ming Dynasty, was renamed YushanPark but gradually ruined into dust.

The current YushanPark covers an acreage of over 10 hectares. Its reasonable division into functional zones, together with its cultural connotations, has dramatically added to its touristic value.
