The 2017 Changshu Promotion Fair for High-level Overseas Chinese Talents, an event that marked their Jiangsu Tour Program, was held on October 25.

Twenty guests, taking their professional expertise in such areas as the automotive, artificial intelligence, new materials and medical care, brought with them both prospective projects and technology. Coming from the United States, Germany, Canada and other countries, they made a field inspection of Changshu Economic & Technological Development Zone and Changshu High-tech Zone for, among others, the purposes of on-site envisioning.

As one of the most economically developed counties in the country, Changshu has been called, year after year, a "Best County-level City in Mainland China" by Forbes. In recent years, Changshu City has been vigorously attracting high-end talents both at home and abroad. Since 2009 when the Municipal Government initiated the Leadership & Entrepreneurial Talent Project, public and private resources have been joining hands in order to help create greater room for talents to play. At the same time, Changshu City has been constantly optimizing the local business environment and upgrading its service level. As a result of continuously deepening the reform of the administrative examination and approval system, non-administrative licensing examination and approval items were canceled in an all-round way: administrative examination and approval items are now reduced by 41.1%.
